Will My Crypto
Early preview. This service is still in development and is not open for accounts.

If something happens to you, will your crypto reach the people you love?

Will My Crypto helps you leave clear, private instructions for your family, designed so we can't touch your crypto, even if we wanted to.

We never hold coins, keys, or seed phrases. Never type a seed phrase into this site.

1 2 3 4 5 YOUYOUR HEIRANY 3 OF 5 SHARES

Crypto has no “forgot password.”

No bank to call

If you're gone, there's no institution your family can phone to get access.

Wills are readable

A seed phrase written in a will can be read by anyone who reads the will.

Families don't know

Many heirs never learn that the wallet exists, or where to begin.

Free tools you can use today

Both run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is sent to us.

Inheritance Readiness Score

Ten questions, about three minutes. You get a score out of 100 and a personal checklist, whether you have a 12 or 24 word wallet, a single private key, or a multisig.

Take the quiz

Encrypted letter of instruction Prototype

Write instructions for your family and lock them with a passphrase, right in your browser. You keep the locked file. We never see it.

Try the demo

Try the whole flow Prototype

Make a plan, split the passphrase into shares, watch the check-in switch run in a time-lapse, then act as the heir.

Trust the code

These tools are plain files with no outside scripts. Read exactly what runs, and check it yourself.

How it is designed to work

The tools below are planned. Nothing here is open for sign-up yet.

  1. 1

    Make your plan

Answer a few questions about what you hold and who should know. No balances. No keys. It becomes a checklist your family can follow.

  2. 2

    Choose your protection

Split your recovery secret so no one person holds it all, add an heir to a shared wallet, or both. The secret never passes through us.

  3. 3

    Lock the instructions

Your letter of instruction is encrypted in your browser, to your heirs' keys, before it reaches us. We would store only the locked file.

  4. 4

Check in. We wait, then step carefully.

A quick check-in every few months tells us you're fine. If you go quiet, we warn you many times, contact someone you trust, and wait. You can cancel at every step.

What we never see

Your browserEVERYTHING SENSITIVE STAYS HERE Our serversWHAT WE WOULD HOLD Seed phrase or private keys Wallet balances or addresses Your heirs' private keys Your letter of instruction Your email and your heirs' contact details Your check-in schedule An encrypted file we can't open LOCKED BEFORE IT LEAVES

We never see

  • Your seed phrase or private keys
  • Your wallet balances or addresses
  • The contents of your instructions (encrypted before they leave your browser)
  • Your heirs' private keys

What we would hold

  • Your email and your heirs' contact details
  • Your check-in schedule
  • An encrypted file we can't open

If our servers were breached, an attacker would find locked files and contact details, not your crypto. That is still not nothing, so we keep that data minimal and will tell you exactly what it is.

The honest maths

How hard is it to crack?

A random 12-word recovery phrase has 128 bits of randomness: more possible answers than anyone can ever check. Here is what a machine making a trillion guesses every second would get.

12 words = 128 bits

That is about possible answers: finding yours is like picking one specific grain of sand out of Earths covered in sand (using a common estimate of about 7.5 quintillion grains on Earth). Exact figures are on the explainer page.

24 words = 256 bits

That is about possible answers, a number in the same league as common estimates for the count of atoms in the observable universe (a 1 followed by 78 to 82 zeros). Not twice as hard as 12 words: unimaginably harder.

What really goes wrong

Weak passphrases, phishing, and lost shares. Not someone guessing a random seed.

Honest note: the maths protects a random seed or a long random passphrase. It does nothing for a short, guessable one. See the math, try the guess machine, and test a made-up passphrase.

How hard is it to crack?

Layers you can choose

Split the secret

Cut a recovery secret into shares (for example, any 3 of 5 rebuild it). One share alone is useless.

Shared wallet

A wallet where your heir holds one key of several. For people comfortable moving funds.

Check-ins

A calm, slow, cancelable switch.

Legal pointers

Templates and questions to bring to an estate attorney.

Plain checklists

Written for a family member who has never used a wallet.

Questions

Is this a scam? Why should I trust you?

It's reasonable to ask. Crypto has a lot of scams, and many target people planning for the worst. We will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys, hold your coins, ask you to send money for “recovery,” or message you first asking for access. The service is designed so we can't move your crypto, and we intend to publish how it works so you don't have to take our word for it.

What if the company shuts down?

Your plan shouldn't depend on us. Your instructions are meant to use open, documented formats and standard tools, with a way to export everything. A service like this can fail, which is why we encourage you to test your plan without us.

Do you hold my crypto or keys?

No. Never.

Is this legal advice? Does it replace a will?

No. We're not a law firm. Laws about digital assets vary by country and state. Use our material as a starting point and have an attorney review your plan.

Can this guarantee my family will recover everything?

No, and be wary of anyone who says so. Lost keys, outdated instructions, and mistakes can still cause a loss. This helps reduce those risks. It doesn't remove them.

Are you an estate attorney or a service provider?

We are building a network of attorneys and other professionals who can review plans in their own jurisdiction. Tell us about your practice.
